Andy retired from the Army in 2024 culminating a 26-year career as a Special Forces Colonel. In his final assignment he commanded the Army’s second largest installation providing executive level vision, business strategy, strategic force projection, training, housing, medical care, education, emergency services and public works for a population of more than 250,000 service members, family members, veterans and military retirees.  

           

During his command tenure he oversaw both major and minor military construction (MILCON), sustainment, restoration and modernization (SRM) for 10,000 barracks units, 4,500 single family homes, 2 airports, 5 fire stations, 6 schools, more than 600 miles of roadway and 18 million square feet of infrastructure. Most notably, he secured funding for the renovation of 17 barracks complexes ($238M); air traffic control tower ($29M), the renovation and modernization of more than 400 single family homes and new construction of more than 150 single family homes.  

           

Annually he managed more than $450M in federal contracts ranging from construction, family housing, food service, land management and environmental protection, airport management, logistics and training management of the Army’s most rapidly deployable combat units.
